Jessica Brown brought together an incredibly talented group of performers to raise money for the Christian Vachon Foundation. The Christian Vachon Foundation supports Children and Families in need in our community. We were thrilled to be able to support this event with our venue and our sound and video system. We hope that hosting this can be something that we can do again in the future.

Silent Partners is a program whereby St. Paul’s is able to financially assist some of the most vulnerable students and families at Knowlton Academy and in the Knowlton community. It is Silent in the sense that St. Paul’s provides assistance through a “conduit” person at the school who is closely acquainted with the families in need. The families do not feel as though they are a “charity” case and the church does not know who the families are to preserve their dignity in a small town community setting.
In the past 5 years, Silent partners has provided food, seasonal clothing, day camp sponsorships, soccer uniforms and registration, gas cards and personal items. During the past year we also were able to provide another less advantaged school in our area with an iPad for their music program.
In the spring of 2021, Silent Partners gave a donation that allowed every student to have a “Uniform Free” day. Usually, the students have to pay $2 however we noticed that some students were not able to participate, hence our involvement. The money is sent to help with the education of three girls in Afghanistan. Our contribution allowed Knowlton Academy to meet and exceed their 2020/21 budget for this program.
Silent Partners is a natural outgrowth of St. Paul’s which seeks to share the grace and blessings that God has given us to as many people as possible.
For more than 20 years St. Paul's have been a part of the Knowlton Academy Breakfast Program. Initially it was run by the "Cafeteria Lady" but when she moved on St. Paul's took over. Initially, the program was fairly rudimentary, toast, milk and orange juice. Slowly it grew, adding home baked goods, yogurt tubes, cereal and cheese. For several years St. Paul's funded the program from their budget. Renalee Gore, the now principal of Knowlton Academy secured grants from various groups and concerned citizens. Today Boulangerie Lace, a local bakery, provides scones or muffins. Our involvement in the breakfast program spawned the Silent Partners and HipHopNHockey.
HipHopNHockey began 7 years ago. With the support of Knowlton Academy, St. Paul's began a youth group for the children of Knowlton Academy and St. Edouard's International School. Every Friday from 5:00-7:00, 8-12 year olds were invited to come to Knowlton Academy. We would play a group game, like soccer, floor hockey, basketball, dodge ball or Spud. We would then provide dinner with conversations with the children. This was followed by smaller games or crafts. We discovered that for many of the children it was 2 hours that they did not have to return home to very difficult situations.
